George Keyt Foundation Young Contemporaries 2025 Nations Trust Bank Private Banking



The George Keyt Foundation recently presented Young Contemporaries 2025 at the Barefoot Gallery, Colombo, with British High Commissioner Andrew Patrick as Chief Guest and Nations Trust Bank as main sponsor. The exhibition featured works by 12 emerging Sri Lankan artists, judged by Leena Hirdaramani, Anomaa Rajakaruna, Nelun Harasgama, and Dominic Sansoni. Ponnaiyah Peter from Kilinochchi received the Young Contemporary 2025 award for his art reflecting war, loss, and post-war struggles. The opening attracted over 300 guests, with most works sold on the first night. The Foundation and participating artists expressed their gratitude to Nations Trust Bank Private Banking for their continued support in making the exhibition possible. Following the exhibition, Malaka Talwatte said, “The 2025 Young Contemporaries was one of the most successful editions with an extremely talented line of male and female artists from as far as Bandarawela and Kilinocchi.”
