Ceylon College of Physicians 58th Annual Academic Sessions and Banquet



The Ceylon College of Physicians (CCP), the oldest professional body for physicians in Sri Lanka, inaugurated its 58th Annual Academic Sessions at Cinnamon Life under the theme ‘Physicians for the Future’. The opening included a welcome by CCP President Professor Prasad Katulanda, with Professor Savitri Goonesekere as Chief Guest. Honorary Fellowships were awarded to leaders of several international colleges, followed by a reception attended by over 500 guests. 

The sessions concluded with a banquet at Cinnamon Life, bringing together CCP members, past presidents and distinguished overseas faculty. The evening featured toasts, exchanges of gifts, and awards for research presentations, with Dr. Shehan de Silva as Master of Ceremonies. A three-course dinner was followed by music from Rajiv and the Clan, with Professor Katulanda and Dr. Solith Senanayake joining in, marking a lively close to the sessions.
