Hundreds of protestors have broken the first line of barricades set up outside the Parliament while forces are firing tear gas to disperse the crowds.
At party leaders' meeting held a short while ago, security forces discussed if force should be used to protect the Parliament, however this request was turned down by the leaders present.

Security forces inept and has no proper leadership. Evident from their security plans. If they cannot protect state property its high time for them to relinquish their posts

Good. Party leaders except Pohottuwa wants protestors to destroy the parliament. Then, No vote to select a president on 20th and Ranil will continue.

If security forces cannot protect these buildings then what is the use of them have they forgotten how they fought with LTTE terrorism. Now we have JVP and Catholic Council terrorism.
