Protestors break barricades in Mirihana



A tense situation has erupted outside the private residence of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as protesters are trying to break the barricades and enter his premises with one barricade already taken down by the angry public. 

The Daily Mirror learns that President Rajapaksa is not present in his home at the moment. 

Security has been beefed with army and riot police deployed outside the President's house.

A power cut is presently underway in Mirihana.
