One million successfully registered for ’National Fuel Pass’

The number of people who have successfully registered themselves to obtain National Fuel Passes has exceeded 1,000,000 by this evening, the Power and Energy Ministry said.

This system was introduced yesterday and will be upgraded in the next few days to give an option for businesses and organizations that operate multiple vehicles to register their full fleet of vehicles using the Business Registration Number, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.

He said each vehicle will be given a specific QR code after verification. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

What about those who "cheat" using other people's NICs to fill up their "multiple" vehicles? As long as people continue to "cheat", the country will further suffer. PEOPLE LEARN A LESSON, ALREADY!!!!

Only one fuel pass should be issued to one household regardless of the vehicles they possess. Watch out for cheaters.

Now the people of Sri Lanka has to show that they are honest and that they will not cheat. I always hear politicians are corrupt and not honest. And now all men and women of Sri Lanka have to show that they are not corrupt and that they are honest I have my doubts. Whoever is free from sin to cast the first stone.

Now there are individuals in the Capitalist Class who own multiple vehicles.If he is given the opportunity to obtain fuel only for one vehicle, what cunning ruses can he resort to in order to get fuel for his other vehicles ?

Way of buying time so that on one hand the number will reduce who wish to register as there is heavy traffic and the other petrol sheds will not have queues
