An Aragalaya activist who was part of the massive uprising staged at Galle Face Green named Randimal Gamage has been arrested by the police at the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday morning.
Police said he was arrested when he returned to the country from Dubai. He was arrested for the charge of forcible entry into the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation last year.

On July 13, 2022 a group of protesters along with Danish Ali had forcibly entered the national television Rupavahini and had allegedly threatened the journalists and staff and disrupted the scheduled TV programme on air, to broadcast his own message.
The Cinnamon Gardens Police conducted investigations regarding the incident and had earlier arrested several persons over the incident including Danish Ali.
Police said the 32-year-old Randimal Gamage, a resident of Hapugala, Galle was handed over to the Cinnamon Gardens Police yesterday.
On August 12 last year, the Cinnamon Gardens Police has requested the Colombo Chief Magistrate to issue a travel ban on the suspect. Accordingly, the magistrate had then ordered the Controller General of Immigration to issue the travel ban against the suspect.
