Singer Thilanka Vidusha alias “Chili” fined

Singer Thilanga Vidusha alias “Chili”, who obstructed the duty of the police officers, intimidated and attempted to assault them was found guilty by Kaduwela Magistrate Aruna Indrajith yesterday and fined Rs. 6000. 

He was ordered to pay Rs.10,000 each as compensation to the two police officers   

The suspect Welandagoda Pathiranage Thilanga Vidusha alias “Chili” is a singer by profession.   

He had threatened and intimidated police officers who visited his premises at Thalangama on inspection during the Dengue prevention campaign in 2014.   

The case had been pending for 12 years in Kaduwela magistrate’s court with the suspect on bail.
