Paediatrician gone missing

A paediatrician of the Mannar General Hospital has gone missing much to the concern of the hospital management.   
 District Medical Officer of the hospital said the doctor had not reported for duty for several days and that his mobile phone was not functioning.   
 However, the other doctors said the paediatrician had vacated the post without informing the hospital management.   
 The District Medical Officer said the expectant mothers and the new born infants were transferred to Vavuniya General Hospital and has requested to detail a paediatrician from the Vavuniya Hospital temporarily.
