Night market on Marine Drive to attract tourists Will open to the public from end of May

Steps have been taken to open a night market on the Marine Drive, to boost tourism in the country’s commercial capital, Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Buddhika Hewawasam said.  

“Colombo is a city full of things for tourists to do, but there is a lack of events, activities, or other festivities for tourists to engage in.  

Therefore, we hope to start a night market along Marine Drive,” he told reporters yesterday.  

The night market will be open to the public from the end of May, he added.
