Public Security Minister Ananada Wijepala yesterday revealed that the mastermind and shooter involved in the murder of Attorney-at-Law Buddhika Mallawaarachchi and his wife at Akuregoda, Thalangama have been identified and that investigations have been launched to arrest the suspects. 

The Minister told Parliament that investigations have revealed that organised criminal and drug smuggler Uggalla Arachchige Tharindu Madushanka alias “Tutu” has operated the murder from overseas, while Robert Suresh of 102/9 Temple Road, Meewala, Rukgahawila has been identified as the person who carried out the shooting with a revolver. 

He said investigations have been launched to arrest the suspects soon.   

The Minister said three suspects have already been arrested in the shooting, adding that the car and its owner, who transported the shooter to the lodge where he stayed before the shooting, have been identified.
