The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) questioned former President Maithripala Sirisena for the second time yesterday for two hours regarding his remarks on the purported mastermind behind the Easter attacks.
The CID summoned the former President on instruction of the Attorney General, according to sources.
He arrived at the CID along with his lawyer Sandiptha Suriyarachchi at 10.00 am and left by 12.00 noon. Earlier, he was grilled by the CID sleuths for six hours on the same matter. He has refused to give any statement to a magistrate.
