Dry weather to prevail across most parts of the country

  • Fairly strong winds around 30–40 km per hour may occur at several places

The Department of Meteorology says dry weather conditions are expected to prevail across most parts of the country.

According to the Department, fairly strong winds with speeds of around 30–40 kilometres per hour may occur at times over the eastern slopes of the central highlands. Similar windy conditions are also likely in the Northern, North-Central, North-Western, Eastern and Uva Provinces, as well as in the Hambantota District.

Meanwhile, misty conditions may develop at some places during the early morning hours in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western Provinces, and in the Galle, Matara and Anuradhapura Districts.
