A massive fire broke out inside a coir factory in Nattandiya today morning destroying property and equipment worth Rs. 470 million. Due to the scarcity of water in the area, the fire spread destroying a further nine houses closeby. The Airforce and the Negombo Fire Brigade rushed to the scene to control the flames.
