Well Off Should Assist the Needy Wednesday, 21 February 2024 12:15 PM
Is there an economic crisis in SL as indicated in world wide news? All seems glamorous and doing well! The well off in SL should be assisting the less fortunate and needy instead of asking worldwide assistance.

This is typical JVP mentality. The majority of well-off has become as such due to several years of hard work and dedication in whatever they do. Most of them come from very modest backgrounds. The majority of well-offs are paying high taxes too except few evaders using the loopholes. These taxes are used to pay social benefits to those in need but some fraudulent people also receive such money. So get rid of JVP mentality and try to contribute to the economy rather than engaging in disruptive activities .

HOPE THAT THE AWARD WINNERS ARE PROPERLY SELECTED BY A RESPECTED PANEL OF JUDGES THAT HAVE WIDE EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD. WE DON'T NEED POLITICAL INFLUENCES HERE.

Mahendra Perera or Sarath Kothalawala deserves to be the best actor, not Jagath Manuwarne.
