If every other degree is available privately why only medical degree has to be obtained in foreign countries. In private practice the doctors spend very little time on patients, although the charges are high. More doctors are required. The government should improve the quality of all degrees in government universities. Also they should monitor the entry qualifications for private degrees and the quality of the private degree.

These guys don’t understand the business side. The Sri Lankans are spending a lot of money in foreign countries in medical studies. The Indians are spending a lot too. Open private medical colleges for overseas medical students only for income. Even Sri Lankan diaspora are ready to join.

Protests, protests, protests...... this is all the free educated so-called students waste their time and our money on. Get a proper education and stop leeching off the tax payers. It's time this rubbish stopped. It's no wonder this country is broke and miserable. What will the JVP do now?

This is unbelievable! How can students from government universities oppose the educational rights of others? Parents of KDU Medical College undergraduates should consider filing a court case for the violation of their children's fundamental rights.

We need more doctors for hospitals and more private medical colleges. Establishing more private medical colleges will also stop foreign exchange outflow to other countries for medical education.

We saw this situation under Sirimavo Government. First the Govt. in power takes a dicision secretly. Then the unions come out demonstration, demanding the same dicision to be implemented. Then the Govt. publicly announce that they have acceeded to the popular demand of unions. Strike called off, and decision implemented. YOU ARE HAPPY. WE ARE HAPPY. EVERYBODY HAPPY. We have seen this circus.

These guys who protests against private medical colleges, why do you to a private hospital when you fall sick. Please take a token, wait in the queue for half a day, and see your govt. doctor ( who probably will be very busy with his private practice)

Private Medical College is a failure. Do not play with the student future, many lost everything and they are on the street because of two failed Private Medical College such as Ragama and SAITM.
