New Buddhist centre

Most Venerable Katugastota Uparathana Thero, Chief Judicial Sanghanayake of the United States and Chairman of the Uparathana Paramita Foundation, lays the foundation stone for the proposed Most Venerable Katugastota Uparathana Thero International Buddhist Centre near the historic Weheragodayaya sacred site in Onugama, Polonnaruwa, on Sunday (21). The centre, funded by the Uparathana Paramita Foundation, is expected to serve as a future hub for archaeological research and Buddhist philosophical studies while promoting Buddhist tourism in Sri Lanka.
