Hundreds join Yoga Day celebration

Participants take part in a mass yoga session to mark the International Day of Yoga at Independence Square in Colombo on June 21, 2026. The event was held under the patronage of Minister of Science and Technology Krishantha Abeysena and attended by the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha. Organised by the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka, the event brought together hundreds of participants to celebrate the 12th International Day of Yoga, observed annually on June 21, and to highlight the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga.
