Sad to see us still in the stone age. The yield in most countries which grow rice is 7 tonnes/ha average, when we are around 4. US is 10.

STOP SUBSIDISING THE FARMER ANY FURTHER. We tax payers need to have three square meals at least. In the 1970's upto around 2000 we were paying almost 70% of our Income as DIRECT TAX -55% PLUS 20% SURCHARGE thereon as SAVE THE NATION FUND or whatever they called it. Now we are Retired WITHOUT PENSION....How are we to exist let alone living. For us the monthly expense is Cost of Existence NOT Cost of Living!

Previous politicians had only stone age knowledge though they visited so many countries around the world, but could not pick any new ideas.Because they were always behind any commissions when they abroad
