The Ministry of Power and Energy yesterday announced that solar customers of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company (LECO) will be allowed a one-time migration to different schemes.
Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said roof-top solar customers of CEB and LECO will be allowed to opt for migration between Net Plus, Net Metering and Net Accounting Schemes starting next week.
“The same rate at which the Power Purchasing Agreement was signed will be applied in migrating between the schemes,” said the Minister in an update on Twitter X.
Further, he added that roof top financing schemes will also be introduced by CEB and LECO for new roof top developments from December.
