CSE team excels at the Great HR Quiz

The Colombo Stock Exchange won 1st place in the “Special” category at the Great HR Quiz, held at Galadari Hotel on the 13th November 2015.
With participation from 47 top companies around the country, the quiz team of the Colombo Stock Exchange placed 8th in the overall standings and emerged winners in the specific category. The team consisted of Nimalie Kariyawasam, Kassapa Weerasekara, Dulani Warnakulasooriya, Maleesha De Silva and Arfath Saleem.
The Great HR Quiz, organized by IPM (Institute of Personnel Management), was held for the second time this year. Being the only Human Resource Management focused quiz competition held in the country, the competition attracts HR professionals from top corporates around the country.
The quiz is divided to five rounds where four rounds of questions are based on practical and theoretical Human Resource Management, and one round is based on current events and sports.
Competitors are tested on their critical thinking and quick decision making skills. Winners are announced

in 7 different categories, which are Banking, Finance and Insurance, IT/Software/Telecom/ BPO, Apparel and Textile, Manufacturing /FMCG, Food and Beverages and Special Category.
Category winners were selected by a panel of judges comprising of Dinesh Weerakkody, Chairman of the National Human Resource Development Council of Sri Lanka; Professor Ajantha Dharmasiri Director and the Chairman of the Board of Management of the Postgraduate Institute of Management, and IPM Sri Lanka Council Member; and Director General of Employers Federation of Ceylon, Kanishka Weerasinghe.
