Twelve-month treasury bill yields hit 9%

Treasury bill yields rose at yesterday’s bill auction with 12-month bill yields hitting 9 percent, up 50 basis points from the last auction, the data released by the Public Debt Department of the Central Bank showed. The six-month bill yields rose 42 basis points to 8.49 percent. The three-month yields remained unchanged at 7.68 percent from the last auction. The government sold Rs.7,667 million in sixmonth bills, Rs.3,036 million in 12-month bills and Rs.15,953 million in three-month bills. Bids were received for Rs.51,203 million and it was decided to accept only Rs.26,656 million
