The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Oman, together with the Colombo Port City Commission and CHEC Port City, organised a roadshow in Muscat to promote Colombo Port City as a key investment destination.
Speaking at the event held at Sheraton Hotel in Muscat, Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Oman W.A.K.S. De Alwis invited the Omani investors to explore opportunities in Colombo Port City, highlighting Sri Lanka’s strategic location connecting the Gulf region with South Asia.
The ambassador also noted that the Colombo Port City Commission serves as a single-window investment facilitator, making it easier for the investors to do business within the special economic zone.
The event was attended by senior Omani government officials, including Under Secretary of State for Investment Ibtisam bint Al Farooji and Under Secretary of State for Tourism and Heritage Azzan bin Qassim Al Busaidi, along with leading Omani business leaders and private sector representatives.
