A transformative new chapter in the region’s cultural and technological landscape unfolds with Pixel Bloom at the Colombo Lotus Tower, now open to the public.
From May 10th to 18th, visitors of all ages are invited to journey through “Day Time to Today”, South Asia’s first immersive and interactive digital art experience, celebrating the timeless values of Vesak in a futuristic light.
Blending ancient wisdom with cutting-edge technology, the exhibit offers a multi-sensory walk-through — from the break of dawn to the stillness of midnight — capturing the essence of Vesak through stunning visuals, ambient sounds capes, and intuitive interaction. Guests will traverse an evolving digital landscape, where every step is a new story and every image is a moment of reflection, joy, or connection.
“This is more than an art installation; it’s a celebration of who we are and where we are going — a space where tradition, memory, and digital imagination meet,” said Professor Dr. Chamaru De Alwis, CEO of Lotus Tower.
The immersive experience is open daily from 9 a.m. until midnight and encourages visitors to make it part of a full-day itinerary. Guests can take in the entire Lotus Tower experience — from digital art zones and observation decks to leisure spaces — making it a family-friendly destination this Vesak season.
“Our goal is to create a shared space where technology and tradition converge, offering a memorable experience to everyone from children to global travelers,” noted Yogeshwaran Nirojan, Manager – Marketing, Lotus Tower.
