Satynmag.com, Sri Lanka’s leading women’s magazine in print since 1998 and totally online since 2013, has announced a global partnership with one of India’s most vibrant women entrepreneurship ecosystems, Catalyst for Women Entrepreneurship (CWE).
The partnership will open doors to Sri Lankan women-owned businesses to regional marketplaces while enabling women entrepreneurs of both India and Sri Lanka to network and collaborate on projects of mutual benefit.
CWE is a comprehensive ecosystem that enables women entrepreneurs to start up and scale their businesses. CWE offers a nurturing platform that gives access to finance, markets, trade networks, business skills, technology, information and industry mentors. They also provide validated professional service providers to women entrepreneurs.
Commenting on the partnership, Nayomini R. Weerasooriya, Founder/Editor of www.satynmag.com and Mentor – women empowerment, said that it would facilitate greater opportunities for Sri Lankan women entrepreneurs, especially those who possess specialised skills and innovative products. “There are some great innovations pioneered by women entrepreneurs out there. We are certain that this partnership would help them secure new markets.”
Sucharita Eashwar, Founder CWE India, Ambassador 50InTech, Co-Chair B20 Women Council G20 Summit, Advisor and Mentor to women entrepreneurs, said that the partnership would take co-operation between women-owned businesses of both countries and the region to great heights.
“Women entrepreneurs will be able to enter new markets, source new opportunities and engage with other women entrepreneurs at a global level through this partnership,” she added.
