The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID), in partnership with ACCA, will host the inaugural SLID–ACCA National Corporate Director Awards 2025 on January 28 at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, commencing at 6.30 p.m.

The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate outstanding corporate directors who have demonstrated leadership, integrity, and governance excellence, while shaping the future of Sri Lankan business. The initiative marks a significant milestone in strengthening board professionalism and promoting global best practices in corporate governance. The ceremony will be graced by Andrew Patrick, British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, as Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour will be Senior Professor D. B. P. H. Dissabandara, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka. Victor Anthonympillai, Principal Country Officer of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), will attend as Special Guest. As the national body dedicated to advancing director professionalism, SLID believes that recognising governance excellence is critical to building resilient institutions, attracting quality investment, and enhancing national credibility.
