SLID ‘Brand in the boardroom’ event on Nov. 22

Continuing its Power evenings, the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID) will present ‘The brand in the boardroom: Tapping into your most underleveraged asset’ event, which will be co-facilitated by Brand Finance Managing Director Ruchi Gunawardena and Landor Mumbai Managing Director Lulu Raghavan, at Cinnamon Grand on November 22, 2016. 

Gunawardena and Raghavan will use a combination of facts, data and a strategic approach, illustrated with case studies to explain how companies are tapping into branding opportunities in the boardroom to drive business value. 
To leverage the hidden opportunities in the boardroom, businesses must be strategized to use intellect and creativity to change the whole ecosystem. 

As CEOs and operating managers across the business work hard towards creating value for shareholders, the role the brand plays is often marginal or superficial, as a result of which, there is money left on the table. By bringing the brand as an asset into play into the core operations and aligning the business around the brand, incremental value can be created.
