People’s Bank’s Strategic Planning, Performance Management and Research Department team receives CEO/GM Trophy

People’s Bank hosted its 21st Annual Inter-Branch/Department Quiz at Monarch Imperial, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, underscoring its commitment to staff development and knowledge sharing. 

This year’s event saw enthusiastic participation from 150 teams across the bank’s network, reflecting the institution’s dedication to fostering a culture of continuous learning among its employees.

The quiz was graced by the presence of People’s Bank Chairman Prof. Narada Fernando and Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Clive Fonseka, along with the members of the corporate and executive management.

The keenly contested competition concluded with the Strategic Planning, Performance Management and Research Department clinching the coveted CEO/GM Trophy. The winning team—comprising Inoka Wijayasinghe, Patalie Liyanaarachchi, Indika Weerakoon, Mihiri Perera and Prabath Gunasekara—demonstrated exceptional knowledge and teamwork to secure the top position.

Following closely were the teams from the Risk Management and Credit Control Department – Team A, as the First Runner-up and the Galle Regional Head Office, which secured the Second Runners-up spot. The Commercial Credit Department and Information Technology Department – Team A were recognised as the Third and Fourth Runners-up, respectively.
