PM to make special statement in p’ment on The Finance

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Mahinda Rajapaksa is to make a statement in parliament on the restructuring of The Finance Company next week.

Leader of the House Dinesh Gunawardene said the Prime Minister would make a statement on restructuring of Sri Lanka’s first finance company shortly. 
He said this in response to a question raised by Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa in parliament last week.

Premadasa questioned as to whether the government would spend Rs.18 billion to restructure the company or whether it is looking for a strategic investor.
