BOI Chairman Mangala Yapa and Hayleys Leisure Sector Managing Director Rohan Karr shake hands after signing supplementary agreement
The Board of Investment (BOI) has signed a supplementary agreement with The Kingsbury PLC to expand and refurbish the hotel in Colombo, following the Easter Sunday bomb attacks in April.
The agreement was signed by BOI Chairman Mangala Yapa and Hayleys Leisure Sector Managing Director Rohan Karr.
“The Easter Sunday bombing caused extensive damage to our restaurants at the Kingsbury Hotel. Our property is currently undergoing a total transformation with redesigned spaces and will soon be ready to offer our guests, unparalleled and unique dining experiences like never before.
“We will re-launch all outlets once the refurbishments are completed, just in time for when the industry will be reviving,” Karr said.
