Japan Deputy Vice Finance Minister for International Affairs Fujii Daijo in a meeting with State Finance Minister Shehan Semasinghe yesterday assured continued commitment towards an early finalisation of Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring process.
“We discussed in detail progress on debt restructuring, and we were assured of Japan’s continued commitment to early finalisation of the debt restructuring process,” Semasinghe shared on X platform yesterday.
During the meeting, Daijo congratulated the Sri Lankan administration led by President Ranil Wickremesinghe for the strong leadership and economic management, appreciating the excellent progress made by Sri Lanka after plunging into crisis.
