Hayleys Fentons officially launched the StarCharge electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions to the local market, marking a major leap in the country’s clean mobility infrastructure.

The launch was hosted at the Hayleys head office in Colombo, following the strategic partnership signed last year with StarCharge Digital Energy Private Limited, a global leader in EV charging technology.

The event marked the debut of Fentons Mobility, the group’s dedicated arm for clean mobility solutions. Gracing the event were Hayleys Chairman and Chief Executive Mohan Pandithage, Executive Director Sarath Ganegoda, StarCharge Overseas South Asia Senior VP/StarCharge Energy Pte. Ltd Business Head Chenglin Wu, StarCharge India Director/Country Head Sunil Kumar Dashora, Hayleys Fentons Managing Director Hasith Prematillake and Director Business Development Roshani Dharmaratne.

This strategic collaboration marks a pivotal milestone in Sri Lanka’s transition to sustainable transportation, bringing cutting-edge EV charging solutions to the local market for residential, commercial and fleet applications. With charging speeds reaching up to 80 percent in under 30 minutes, StarCharge directly addresses range anxiety, a key concern for EV adoption, while contributing to key UN Sustainable Development Goals, including affordable and clean energy, sustainable cities and communities and climate action.

Pandithage stated, “Our partnership with StarCharge under the newly launched brand Fentons Mobility reflects our own strategic ESG aspirations, strengthening our commitment to building a future-ready Sri Lanka.”

Fentons Mobility is ready to provide EV charging solutions with capacities from 7kW to 720 kW, delivering scalable, high-performance infrastructure tailored to meet the unique requirements across residential, commercial, public and fleet use.

  • Artemis (7, 11, 22 kW AC) – Ideal for home and small business use
  • Saturn (22 kW AC) – For public and retail locations
  • Venus (30 kW DC) – Fast charging for mid-sized commercial environments
  • Jupiter (60 kW DC) – High-speed charging for fleets and high-traffic zones

Prematillake elaborated, “Our launch reflects a shared commitment to delivering solutions that truly fit for Sri Lanka.”

Dashora noted, “Our EV chargers are built on a modular, scalable architecture that integrates effortlessly with local grid systems.”
