Award recipients from Hayleys Agriculture Holdings at Presidential Export Awards 2024/2025, Sri Lanka’s highest national honour for exporters
Hayleys Agriculture Holdings Limited reaffirmed its position as a key driver of Sri Lanka’s export economy after three of its business units were recognised at the prestigious Presidential Export Awards 2024/2025, the highest national honour bestowed on exporters, which took place recently at the BMICH in Colombo.
The accolades celebrate the outstanding export performance of HJS Condiments Limited, Quality Seed Company Limited and Hayleys Agro Biotech (Pvt.) Ltd, highlighting the group’s diversity, resilience and global competitiveness across its agri-business verticals.
This achievement further reinforces Hayleys Agriculture’s leadership in agri-innovation and international market excellence, while underscoring its commitment to uplifting the Sri Lankan farmers, growers and wider agriculture ecosystem.
HJS Condiments was honoured as Best Exporter – Processed Fruits and Vegetables, recognising its excellence in producing and exporting high-quality, value-added agricultural products to global markets. The company was evaluated on key performance indicators including export turnover, repatriation of export proceeds, net foreign exchange earnings, market and product diversification, value addition, innovation and sustainable export practices, the areas in which HJS Condiments demonstrated exceptional performance.
Quality Seed Company received the Best Exporter – Floriculture award, reflecting its leadership in the global floriculture industry. As Sri Lanka’s only F1 Hybrid Seed Exporter, the company plays a vital role in generating foreign exchange through precision-led seed exports, strengthening the country’s reputation as a reliable source of high-value floriculture products.
Further strengthening the group’s recognition, Hayleys Agro Biotech was presented with a Merit Award – Floriculture for its innovative contributions to the sector. The award acknowledges the company’s advanced tissue culture technologies and its success in exporting high-value planting materials. Evaluated against the same rigorous performance criteria, Hayleys Agro Biotech demonstrated strong results in innovation, value addition and sustainable export practices, positioning Sri Lanka at the forefront of modern, technology-driven agriculture.
