GAC Automobile Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd officially opened its new GAC City Showroom located at No. 342, Galle Road, Colombo 04, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s expansion of Sri Lanka’s electrified mobility landscape. 

The showroom, which is strategically located in the heart of the city, delivers an immersive, experience-led introduction to electric and hybrid mobility that is suited for modern urban living. 

Two new vehicles, GAC E9, a high-end executive plug-in hybrid electric MPV (PHEV) and Aion UT, a compact, fully electric city hatchback designed for daily urban commuting, are also officially introduced to the Sri Lankan market with this opening. 

Together, the opening of the showroom and the launch of the new models demonstrate GAC’s dedication to provide realistic electrified mobility solutions that blend luxury, practicality and daily usability moving beyond experimental technology to proven, tested innovation. 

GAC Automobile Technologies Sales Manager Kadirawel Kugan said, “The GAC City Showroom is a declaration of confidence in Sri Lanka’s readiness for electrified mobility, not just a retail space. The showroom provides a modern, conveniently located space where visitors can see, feel and experience electrified mobility firsthand. It was designed with city-based clients in mind. The concept underlines GAC’s emphasis on making EV adoption easier by focusing on ease, experience and trust first, especially for customers switching from conventional vehicles.  

The Brand Ambassadors of GAC Automobile Technologies, Bathiya Jayakody and Santhush Weeraman also attended the GAC City Showroom opening.
