DFCC Bank’s Anton Arumugam new APB President

DFCC Bank PLC congratulates Senior Vice President Offshore Banking, Remittances and Business Development Anton Arumugam on his appointment as the 36th President of the Association of Professional Bankers (APB) Sri Lanka for the 2025/26 term. 

This notable announcement was made at the APB’s Annual General Meeting held recently at The Kingsbury Colombo.

This marks the second occasion on which a member of DFCC Bank’s senior leadership has been appointed to this prestigious position, underscoring the bank’s continued contribution to shaping the future of Sri Lanka’s banking industry.

Arumugam’s appointment reflects his unwavering commitment, a wealth of experience and steadfast dedication to advancing the banking profession. Having been actively involved with the APB since 2017, he has played a key role in driving professional development and strategic growth initiatives. 

In his new role, Arumugam aims to enhance member engagement, foster knowledge-sharing and extend the APB’s global reach – priorities that resonate strongly with DFCC Bank’s core professional excellence and innovative values.

Further strengthening the bank’s representation within the APB, DFCC Bank Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer Paduma Subasinghe has also been appointed Council Member. His inclusion is a testament to DFCC Bank’s firm commitment to industry collaboration and the continuous development of human capital within the sector.
