DFCC Bank with AlfaNow strengthens Middle East remittance corridor

DFCC Bank has entered into a partnership with AlfaNow in Dubai, expanding its remittance network across the Middle East and improving how Sri Lankans overseas send money home.

The collaboration strengthens one of Sri Lanka’s most important financial lifelines.

By working with AlfaNow, DFCC Bank is enhancing its ability to deliver faster, more secure and more accessible fund transfers, particularly for the customers in the UAE. 

The partnership is expected to improve turnaround times and reliability, while making it easier for the expatriates to stay financially connected with their families in Sri Lanka.

The partnership was formalised in the presence of AlfaNow Group CEO Hasan Jaber and DFCC Bank Senior Vice President Offshore Banking, Remittances and Business Development Anton Arumugam.

Arumugam said, “Expanding our presence in key remittance corridors is about making it easier for the Sri Lankans overseas to support their families back home. Our focus is on ensuring that every transfer is fast, secure and dependable, especially during the periods when these flows become even more important.”

The Middle East continues to account for a significant share of Sri Lanka’s inward remittance flows, making service reliability and accessibility critical. Through partnerships such as this, DFCC Bank continues to strengthen its cross-border capabilities while supporting the evolving needs of the Sri Lankan expatriate communities.
