China Products Colombo Exhibition to kick off on Nov. 22

China Products (Colombo Sri Lanka) Exhibition 2016, to be held from November 22-24, 2016, at the Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre (SLECC), has brought more than 120 quality exhibitors from China to Sri Lanka. 

Since Sri Lanka imports machinery of around US $ 1.6 billion comprising 8.2 percent of total imports, the fair has increased its focus on machinery, to the point that fully one third of exhibitors in 2016 are machinery oriented, thus ensuring a dedicated machinery zone in the fair. 
China Commerce Ministry Trade Development Bureau is also organising a ‘Promotion Seminar’ for Sri Lankan and Chinese businessmen. 

National Chamber of Commerce (NCC) President Thilak Godamanna said, “The NCC is extremely happy to be associated with the China Products (Colombo, Sri Lanka) Exhibition for the second time in Sri Lanka and for inviting the chamber again to be the industry partner, for this year too.”
Show manager Worldex India MD Rajesh Bhagat said, “Based on our research, we are bringing machinery companies here specifically to provide impetus to manufacturing in Sri Lanka, which in turn will make Sri Lankan manufacturers more competitive, having the advantage of upgraded technology at affordable prices.”

Organised by the CMEC International Exhibition, China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce, it is supported by the China Commerce Ministry Trade Development Bureau along with the CCPIT Guangdong Committee, China National Machinery & Equipment Import & Export Corporation (CMEC) and Worldex Fiera Milano Exhibitions (Guangzhou) Co. Ltd.
