Change of guard at COYLE

Raddella Holdings Managing Director Thushira Raddella

Raddella Holdings Managing Director Thushira Raddella, who recently completed his tenure as COYLE President, reflected on the year gone by, COYLE’s future plans as well as the way forward for Raddella Holdings, as he handed over the reins of this now formidable business chamber to his successor.

During Raddella’s tenure, several impactful programmes were initiated to strengthen Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including the Young Lankan Platform – a dedicated initiative to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and provide them with the necessary resources to scale and succeed, Future Founders Programme – a visionary project aimed at establishing school-based entrepreneur clubs, thus instilling an entrepreneurial mindset in the younger generation, COYLE Global Programme, which is a strategic initiative to create overseas business hubs with free warehousing facilities, enabling Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to expand their brands globally as well as the Entrepreneur Development Centre, a comprehensive support system for start-ups, scale-ups and entrepreneurs, offering mentorship, funding guidance and business development assistance.

“All these initiatives have collectively strengthened Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurial foundation and opened new avenues for business growth, whilst cementing our position as a forward thinking, progressive and dynamic business chamber.”

Radella also emphasised the fact that COYLE is more than ready to take its place as a regional organisation to promote Sri Lankan businesses and entrepreneurs and is well-positioned to elevate Sri Lankan businesses at regional level.

“Through the Young Lankan Programme, we aim to extend SME support beyond national borders, fostering stronger collaborations and opportunities. Additionally, through the Alliance of Lankan Entrepreneurial Chambers, we actively engage with other regional chambers, ensuring Sri Lankan businesses have a presence and a voice in the broader regional economic landscape.”
