The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will hold its customary post budget seminar on November15th, with the participation of Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake.
He will be joined in by senior Treasury officials and also independent tax specialists for a panel discussion and an
open forum.
The seminar will kick start with Minister Karunanayake addressing the gathering under the title ‘Salient Points of the Budget 2017,’ while Charmaine Tillekeratne, Director of Pricewaterhousecoopers will speak on the ‘Taxation Proposals of the Budget 2017’.
Along with the Minister, Duminda Hulangamuwa, Chairman Tax Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Head of Tax Services and Partner of Ernst & Young Sri Lanka, S. R. Attygalle, Deputy Secretary to the Treasury, Ministry of Finance and Planning, Kalyani Dahanayake, Commissioner General, Inland Revenue Department and Charmaine Tillekeratne, Director of PWC will sit for the panel discussion to further elaborate on the ‘Budget 2017’ and take on questions from the audience. Samantha Ranatunga, Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will deliver the welcome address.
