For the fourth consecutive year, the Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) will be hosting the much-awaited Chairman’s Forum on September 26.

Following the theme titled ‘I AM’, this year’s exciting line-up of Sri Lankan entrepreneurs will share their challenges of taking their brands across the island and beyond.

The three panellists, E-W Information Systems Chairman/CEO Sanjeewa Wickremanayake, Promowatch Ltd Managing Director Nishan Wasalathanthri and Ceylon Biscuits Ltd Group Director Rasith Wickremasinghe will share their stories of striving for market share and meeting challenges in today’s business landscape.

The guest speaker at this year’s event is Jackson Anthony, a well-known actor and historian who has traced Sri Lanka’s history of entrepreneurship, its suppression during colonization and the struggle of overcoming this era. Anthony will share a riveting account of facts and literature during his presentation as a prologue to the discussion with this panel of entrepreneurs.

“It is almost 200 years since the era during which this nation was suppressed into being subservient to the colonizer. Now, we have local brands that have broken through barriers of trade and reached international standards through sheer perseverance, leadership and skill,” said COYLE Chairman Kushan Kodithuwakku.

“Our panellists will take you through their journeys and share their struggles and successes on how they overcame barriers.”

The moderator of the forum, Arun Dias Bandaranayake, who is well versed in local history and the arts, will undoubtedly add colour to the forum.

The forum’s principal sponsor Sampath Bank has once again come forward to support this event because of its reputation for supporting local entrepreneurs.

The COYLE is an organisation that reflects a new way of thinking as well as a youthful energy that is much needed for a dynamic private sector. While keeping true Sri Lankan value, the COYLE has staunchly safeguarded the interest of the local entrepreneurs of Sri Lanka and acts as link between the local entrepreneurs and ruling government.

The COYLE is the only chamber where 116 controlling shareholders or chairmen sit and advocate together. The COYLE’s members contribute over Rs.600 billion per annum to the economy of Sri Lanka.

The forum will be held at The Kingsbury Hotel, Balmoral Hall on September 26.

The event will start at 5:30 p.m. followed by networking and cocktails.

For further details, please contact COYLE Secretariat on 0112 883560 or 011 7538615. Tickets can be purchased through coylechairmansforum.lk, Dialog Arcade Union Place, DSI Premier Showrooms and Java Lounge outlets.
