At Colombo EV Motor Show 2026, Ather and Evolution Auto showcased Ather 450X, attracting strong interest from customers, enthusiasts and prospective buyers throughout the three-day event. 

Ather Energy, Sri Lanka’s premium electric scooter brand, continues to strengthen its position in the country’s rapidly growing electric mobility sector through its authorised distributor Evolution Auto. 

As one of Evolution Auto’s flagship brands, Ather has consistently been positioned in the minds of consumers as the ‘super scooter’, a reputation built on advanced technology, performance and intelligent design.

The visitors explored the scooter’s connected technology, performance and engineering, with the showcase receiving an enthusiastic response. 

The engagement reflected the growing demand for premium electric mobility solutions in Sri Lanka and the increasing interest in products that combine innovation with everyday usability.

Designed to make every day riding more intuitive, comfortable and convenient, Ather introduced two new features to the Sri Lankan market - Infinite Cruise and Magic twist.  These features reflect Ather’s continued focus on developing innovations that address real-world riding needs. Together, they enhance rider confidence, improve convenience and deliver a more effortless riding experience.

Infinite Cruise is designed to deliver a seamless riding experience by maintaining consistent speed control, especially during long rides or steady traffic conditions. It reduces rider fatigue and allows for a more relaxed and controlled journey, particularly in urban commuting environments.

On the other hand, Magic Twist makes slowing down more intuitive by allowing the riders to reduce speed simply by twisting the throttle backwards, reducing the need to use the brake levers in many everyday riding situations. It uses the scooter’s electric motor to slow the vehicle while recovering energy, through a regenerative braking mechanism, creating a smoother and more natural riding experience. 

Unlike conventional systems, Magic Twist can bring the scooter to a complete halt and continues to work even when the battery is fully charged. This makes stop-and-go city riding more effortless and comfortable.
