Allianz Lanka distributes child safety helmets under CSR initiative

Allianz Lanka has remained steadfast in its commitment to road safety, with a particular focus on protecting children.

As part of this mission, Allianz Lanka carried out its flagship CSR initiative ‘Allianz Protect’, from the 16th to the 23rd of September, spanning 30 locations Islandwide. This marked the fourth consecutive year of this impactful program.

Many schoolchildren travelled on motorbikes without helmets, putting them at serious risk. To address this, Allianz Protect distributed 1,550 helmets in 2025, including 250 contributed by HHCo Industries. The initiative was once again supported by the Sri Lanka Police, reinforcing the long-standing partnership between the two organizations.

Together, Allianz Lanka and the Police ensured that deserving beneficiaries were carefully identified, children were educated on road safety, and proper helmet use was monitored during school hours.

Speaking on the initiative, Ranga Dias, Chief Distribution Officer at Allianz Lanka said, “At Allianz Lanka, children remained at the heart of our CSR efforts, and Allianz Protect was a clear reflection of that focus. This program was not just about distributing helmets, it was about safeguarding the lives of our youngest road users and nurturing a culture of safety from an early age. With 1,550 helmets being distributed this year across 30 locations, we took meaningful steps to protect schoolchildren and give parents peace of mind.”

The helmet distribution and awareness events took place across Allianz Lanka branches and partner locations in Embilipitiya, Trincomalee, Ambalantota, Medawachchiya, Warakapola, Union Place, Gampaha, Nittambuwa, Nuwara Eliya, Ja-Ela, Dambulla, Matale, Matara, Aluthgama, Horana, Monaragala, Badulla, Wennappuwa, Kilinochchi, Wellawatte, Chunnakam, Wellawaya, Gampola, Nugegoda, Balangoda, Chilaw, Akkaraipattu, Kaduwela, Ratnapura, and Panadura.
