Panel discussion on the evolving landscape of education and employability

Top 10 Employability Partners
ACCA Sri Lanka Tutor and Employer Recognition Ceremony 2025 took place recently at Sheraton Colombo Hotel, bringing together a distinguished gathering of Sri Lankan and Maldivian Learning Partners, owner managers, tutors, administrative staff and employers.
The annual ceremony served as a prestigious platform to honour the unwavering dedication of ACCA tutors who continue to impart world-class education and shape the next generation of finance professionals. It also recognised the invaluable contributions of ACCA’s Learning Partners and Employability Partners, reinforcing collaboration and excellence across the South Asian region.
This year’s ceremony introduced a special segment to celebrate the Top 10 Employability Partners, acknowledging their vital role in empowering ACCA students and affiliates through professional development and employment opportunities.
The event commenced with welcome remarks by ACCA Director Asia Pacific Pulkit Abrol, followed by a keynote address delivered virtually by Sajid Hussain, CEO of SKANS School of Accountancy, a Platinum Approved ACCA Learning Partner in Pakistan.
ACCA Head of South Asia Nilusha Ranasinghe and ACCA Member Network Panel Chairman Chaaminda Kumarasiri presented tokens of appreciation to tutors, top-performing CBE exam centres and the Top 10 Employability Partners in Sri Lanka, recognising their steadfast commitment to the growth and success of the ACCA community.
The evening also featured a thought-provoking panel discussion on the evolving landscape of education and employability within the accounting profession. The panel included Chaaminda Kumarasiri, Dr. Prasenna Balachandran and Nilusha Ranasinghe, offering valuable insights and inspiring participants to explore innovative pathways for collaboration and growth.
KPMG Sri Lanka Chief Operating Officer Suren Rajakarier addressed the gathering, highlighting the advantages of being a Platinum Approved Employer and the value of partnering with ACCA to enhance employability for aspiring finance professionals.
Adding to the evening’s enriching agenda, ACCA Member Mahesh Semage introduced the redesigned ACCA qualification, shedding light on its enhanced relevance for developing future-ready finance professionals.
