The UNP is willing to have a dialogue with the SLFP and other parties to form a national government and to prepare a national policy, UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene said today.
“There is no move to form a Yahapalana type of alliance with the SLFP but UNP is willing to have a dialogue with the SLFP on broader grounds especially to form a national government or to prepare a national policy for the nation,” Mr. Wijewardene said speaking to media after a function at Maha Vihare of the Malwatte chapter in Kandy.
However, he said UNP will initially focus on preparing its policy statement to stabilise the nation and would like to know about the ideology of other parties regarding the same
“SLFP should leave the government as the situation is such that many of SLPP allies have begun to criticise the main ally of the ruling alliance,” he added. (Yohan Perera and J. A. L. Jayasinghe)

Is it April fools day already?? Why would anyone have dialogues with this party that has only ONE seat in parliament, and a national list one at that?? Another pipe-dream of the always scheming RW.
