Denying SriLankan Airlines' statement that flight UL 470 to Seoul was delayed due to a cockpit crew member falling ill, Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara said the delay had been due to a 'go slow' trade union action launched by the cockpit crew.
He told Parliament that the cockpit crew are on a "go slow" strike action due to a payment issue during the Covid-19 period.
"There are reasonable and unreasonable demands. This delay will continue until their issue is resolved. The engineers are also on a trade union action,” he said.
Civil Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva said he will give a complete answer during the day. (Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)

The staff seem adamant to run the airline to the ground. Best wind it up and let them for d employment in a more disciplined airline.
