Pramodya to continue in SLC Ex-Co until minister appoints new selection committee

The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Executive Committee has appointed Lasantha Wickremesinghe to the vacant Assistant Treasurer position, which was unfilled at the SLC Annual General Meeting last Saturday.

Wickremesinghe is understood to have withdrawn his name for the post of Treasurer at the AGM, with Sujeewa Godaliyadda taking over that position, but has now been appointed as the Assistant Treasurer.

Pramodya Wickramasinghe will continue to represent the national selection committee in the SLC Ex-Co, until a fresh selection committee is appointed by the Minister.

SLC does not with the power to appoint any person to honorary position except the executive position is SLC and if there was the vacancy by reverting his nomination or resignation, the other incumbent who fielded it nomination automatically fill up the vacancy and that is how Mr Darmadasa had filled the vice president post in last SLC administration
