Sri Lanka Navy arrested 47 persons illegally bound for Australia in a multi-day trawler and two fiber glass dingies, early today. The trawler named “Thamara” was intercepted off Chillaw seas and FGDs named “Kalinga” and “Udara” were intercepted off Negombo seas by Fast Naval Patrol Craft attached to the Western Naval Command, the Navy said.
