The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) won all seven electorates of Matara District by securing 352,217 votes which is a 73.63% of valid votes.

Eighty-two people had been arrested and 18 vehicles were taken into custody in connection with offences related to yesterday’s General Election, the Police said.
