Wild Life Officer remanded

The Wild Life Officer, who shot dead a poacher during a raid conducted by the Wild Life Department on Friday (2) inside the Yala Sanctuary, was arrested and remanded until October 6. The Police Media Centre said the STF had been called in to provide security for Wild Life officers in Yala.

What nonsense is this? Instead, had the poacher shot and killed this wildlife officer, the poacher would be given a ministerial title or a diplomatic post.

WILD ANIMALS IN SIDE THE YALA PARK SHOULD ALSO BE ARRESTED BECAUSE THOSE TWO OTHER PARTIES WOULD NOT HAVE COMMITTED WHAT THEY DID, IF NOT FOR THEIR EXISTENCE .!

Why he was only doing his duty which has given him the power to protect the wild life.He is authorized to use the gun he is issued to do so. Detaining him is absurd.How do you expect the wildlife officers to do their duty if they are locked up . Our laws as many things in the country are poor and do not afford protection to those who carry out their duties .

What sort of a law is in placed? If not to shoot poachers why did the department issue guns to their officers? Release the poor officers who did his duty...

no good deed goes unpunished. the wild life officer should be promoted. not punished. i am a long time visitor to yala i have heard guns going off many times. i say we promote this guy and set a example. via DM Android App
