He should know as he was also part of this establishment not so long ago. Those who kidnapped and assaulted journalist Keith Nohyar; those who waylaid and murdered Sunday Leader editor Lasantha in broadlight on a busy street close to a Navy camp; and those who now resorted to this attack again in broadlight : undoubtedly are the same gang of thugs operating with official blessing and whatever the Police does they can never be caught as long as this regime is in power,.

However, SF had said "Such an attack in a high security zone cannot be carried out without state patronage."
Mr. Tillekaratne was attacked near St. Thomas College, Mt. Lavinia; so the attack did not take place in a high security zone.

Can impartial person erect the fingers at the government especially few minutes after the incident? Will government act such a foolish way knowing that they will become offenders as Mr. T’ratne had criticized the Executive President recently? Can’t any local body i.e. a political party or a person who is having such capability in the opposition had done that knowing the blame can directly put on to the MR? Or, Can’t organize foreign country through their intelligent service like CIA to create an issue in the country?
Having tendency of said occurrences I think all Medias and people should act wisely without falling into bankrupt politicians’ laps.

this attack was done by the presidential security division which is manned by thugs and murderers roaming the country looking for any anti govt agitators like Dimuthu Artigala in Jaffna or the two university agitators who were murdered and the bodies dumped by the roadside to look like a accident. The dictatorship is now flexing their muscle more and more as the govt is sinking in it's pseudo economic quagmire.

Patronage is when one is not involved but supports. However, GOSL is directly involved in all these deeds where currently serving armed forces units are directed and used to carry activities. Trinco Students, ACF Workers, Ekneligoda, Taraki, Lasantha are just a few incidents of where investigations are obviously dead locked as the perpetrators are squarely and part of the State. International and even local reports substantially implicate GOSL of calculated massacre's many with with top level involvement. Even SF though crying foul now, was also part and parcel of this State Terrorism Instituition.

We see many injustice happening in the country, but the government is not STUPID to target a high profile official as the JSC Secretary at time when there is a dispute. Why can't it be the work of some elements that are hell bent to destroy the image of the country internationally???. A leaf is enough to move for people like SF to gain some cheap political mileage.

It is the State which had a grouse against the Secretary - JSC. No one else benefits by assaulting the JSC Secretary to make him keep quiet.
