Main opposition UNP is to appoint a team headed by former senior civil servant Bradman Weerakoon to look into the report put out yesterday by the UN Secretary General’s Expert Panel on Sri Lanka.

A statement issued by the party’s Acting General Secretary Daya Pelpola said that the team would be appointed to look into the report in a broad manner and report their observations to the party.

Meanwhile it was also reported that the party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is to select and appoint the other members in team within the next two days. (Yohan Perera)

Well I thought the report was out and some of the leaders commented on it. Does this mean that these guys commented on the report without reading (never mind studying it).

i feel this is the correct way to go , i think the gov should have done the same. Atleast that would show we are professional

This is professional way of handling the situation, rather than street demostration, signing of petition. Counter the UN report in diplomatic way.
